McDonald's® Percentage Nights
What is McDonald's® % Night? In a nutshell, teachers and school administrators work at their local McDonald's® Restaurant as Crew People for one evening in exchange for a percentage of that evening's inside and drive-thru sales.
This is alot of fun for everyone and a great fundraiser! Students in particular will come out in droves to see their favorite teachers serving up McDonald's® food, and where there are students, there are parents who traditionally come out to lend their support by purchasing a meal and getting to know their children's teachers on a new level. The more support from parents and teachers, the more money you can earn.
Setting up a McDonald's® % Night for your school is simple. There are a few details to discuss such as feasible dates/times, signing up educators to participate, roles and responsibilities for both McDonald's® and the participating school, and announcing the event to your entire school and community.
Here's How It Works: Designated School Staff and/or Representatives work behind the counter at McDonald's® during dinner time (5:00pm-8:00pm). Other designated School staff/reprensentatives are encouraged to serve as host/hostesses in the the dining room. School reps will be teamed with a McBuddie at all times. Your main responsibilities will be to greet guests, take food orders,and assemble drinks for orders.
School Responsibilities: (1)Select a date for the event (6-8 weeks out) (2) Aggressively promote your event (Begin at least 2 weeks ahead and continue up to the date of the event) (3) Place Posters at McDonald's® & Your School / Send Flyers Home to Parents / Announce it in the School Newsletter / PA Announcements, etc. (4) Encourage each teacher to hold a contest between classes for the most attendance (5) School reps show up 1/2 hour prior to start of event for any necessary training (6) Provide a Proof of all advertising to McDonald's® Rep prior to printing of materials.
McDonald's® Responsibilities: (1)Work with school on Setting up Appropriate Date and Time (2) Provide FUN ACTIVITIES for Children on % Night (3) Work with School Rep to Develop Flyer and Proof ALL Advertising Materials (4) Provide Funds Raised to School within 2 WEEKS of Event.
